April meeting recap

A lot went on in our April meeting, so the Pantone Color of the Year Challenge will have its own post in a couple of days!

We started the meeting with a few announcements for members - signups are open for two upcoming sew days as well as the Trill workshop with Melanie Tuazon (see Bigtent for workshop details and to RSVP to the sew days). Signups will open on May 1 for the one hour basket swap with NJMQG.

We talked a little bit about the Quilt Alliance; if you're interested in learning more, click on the link!

Then we discussed the ways we make money with quilting and sewing. There were a variety of answers, including professional longarming, working in the fabric industry, commission sewing, and by selling our art.
