We met on zoom in November to facilitate a lecture from Patricia Belyea of Okan Arts! Patricia shared her creative approach to developing new ideas for original quilt designs. She discussed and showed examples of her news series, Big Grids with Inserted Curves, made with vintage Japanese yukata cottons and other global fabrics. We will be having a Project Bag swap at our December meeting/party. More information about requirements is available on Groupworks!
We will also be having a postcard swap with the Northampton MQG. Signups for this will be available in November, the swap itself takes place in January.
The spring retreat has been booked! It will be held March 8-10 at Hyatt House in Branchburg. Signups will be available after the new board convenes.

We had a presentation from Audrey Esarey of Cotton & Bourbon. She had led a workshop on Drafting Complex Curves a few days before, and her presentation was about her journey into quiltmaking.

Reminder that QuiltCon registration begins on August 15 at 10am. In 2024 QuiltCon will be held in Raleigh, NC, February 22-25. Show entries will be accepted between September 1 and October 31, so get those quilts finished and photographed!
