MQG Madrona Road Challenge

Our guild is officially participating in the Madrona Road Challenge! At the December meeting, we received fat eighth bundles of some of the Madrona Road fabrics in the Ocean colorway. This fabric line is designed by Violet Craft for Michael Miller.

Because this is a Modern Quilt Guild challenge, this means that MQGs all over the world are participating and sharing their work on the Flickr group (a photo-sharing site). You need a Flickr account to post your creation, but it's easy - click here to go to flickr.com, and click the pink "sign up" on the top bar. Once you take a picture of your creation, upload it to your Flickr photostream (let me know if you need help), go to the official challenge group (linked above), join the group, and post your photo. It sounds complicated, but it really isn't, I promise :)

The challenge officially runs until January 31st, but you can share your creation at either the January or February meeting. Pictures of your creation have to be on the Flickr account by the 31st in order to be considered for any kind of accolation or prize (which has not yet been announced). You can make ANYTHING, as long as it uses just these fabrics and any solids.

*Our guild's individual challenge is "detail" - however you choose to interpret that!

Again, HERE is the link for the Flickr group (there are already pictures up!)

What are your ideas so far? We'd love for you to post links to your Flickr pictures or blog posts!
