June meeting recap

We had so much to talk about in June's meeting! Members, please see the newsletter and our Bigtent site for more about upcoming events including sewcials and workshops. You can also find information about the Orlando MQG heart quilt drive, including a link to the block instructions, in the discussion posted by Jess S. on Bigtent.

Now for the pictures!

Meg Cox gave us a short lecture on the state of digital printing in the fabric industry. She discussed the differences between digital printing and traditional screen printing, the ranges of colors, and why some manufacturers have embraced the process and why others have not. She brought in examples from a few companies including Hoffman and Hawthorne Threads. Here are a few:

Are you ready for the crayon challenge?

Get your 3 randomly chosen colors at the June 14th meeting. Finished quilts will be due in September. If you won't be at the meeting find a friend to pick yours up for you! Guidelines will be given out on the 14th.

See you then!

PS. If anyone has a solids color card (ie. Kona, Moda etc...) please bring it so members can match up their crayons!
