October meeting recap

We met at Pennington Quilt Works on October 11.

Members! There are open positions for the board and program chairs for 2024! If you're interested in volunteering, previous board members and program chairs are happy to answer questions and offer assistance. Send an email to the guild address if you're interested.

We will be having a Project Bag swap at our December meeting/party. More information about requirements is available on Groupworks!

We will also be having a postcard swap with the Northampton MQG. Signups for this will be available in November, the swap itself takes place in January.

The spring retreat has been booked! It will be held March 8-10 at Hyatt House in Branchburg. Signups will be available after the new board convenes.

August meeting recap

In August we met via Zoom 

We had a presentation from Audrey Esarey of Cotton & Bourbon. She had led a workshop on Drafting Complex Curves a few days before, and her presentation was about her journey into quiltmaking.

We look forward to seeing you in person at PQW on September 13!

June meeting recap

Apologies for the lateness of this recap post - I moved and everything was hectic for a while!

Our next meeting is on August 9 on Zoom with a lecture from Audrey Esarey.

Reminder that QuiltCon registration begins on August 15 at 10am. In 2024 QuiltCon will be held in Raleigh, NC, February 22-25. Show entries will be accepted between September 1 and October 31, so get those quilts finished and photographed!

May meeting recap

We met online again in May in order to host a presentation from Lisa Shepard Stewart, owner of Cultured Expressions in Rahway NJ. She spoke about different types of African fabrics and showed some of her pieces using them. April meeting recap

 We met again at PQW on April 12. We had several visitors and brand new members, hello!

Mark your calendars! The fall retreat is scheduled for October 20-22, and registration will open in May. Also on the registration horizon: Drafting Complex Curves with Audrey Esarey will be held on August 5 on zoom.

March meeting recap

 We met online via zoom March 8. This meeting featured a presentation from Tara Faughnan about color and value. You can read more about her work on her website, TaraFaughnan.com.

Next month we meet in person at PQW on April 12. Can't wait to see you!

February Meeting Recap

In February we met in Pennington Quilt Works' new expanded classroom. There will be a bit of a learning curve in our photos - we need to figure out where the best views are, so bear with us!

Members, we'll have a zoom sewcial on Sunday, February 19, 1-3pm. Check your email late in the week for the link.

January meeting recap

 This month we met online in order to host a lecture with Sandra Lee Designs on her beautiful denim quilts. Please visit her website to see examples of her beautiful work.

Remember that Crayon Challenge quilts are due at the February meeting, as well as Improv Curves blocks for our 2023 Improv QAL.

December Meeting Recap

Our December 2022 meeting was in person at PQW. It was a very exciting meeting with a yankee swap and delightful refreshments.

There are still openings for our Double Wedding Ring workshop on March 11 with Tara Faughnan.

Our January meeting will be held on Zoom and includes a lecture about denim quilts with Sandra Johnson. Members, look for the link in your inbox. We will also discuss our winter member swap.

Crayon challenge quilts are due at our February meeting at PQW.
