Apologies for the lateness of this recap post - I moved and everything was hectic for a while!
Our next meeting is on August 9 on Zoom with a lecture from Audrey Esarey.
Reminder that QuiltCon registration begins on August 15 at 10am. In 2024 QuiltCon will be held in Raleigh, NC, February 22-25. Show entries will be accepted between September 1 and October 31, so get those quilts finished and photographed!
Lots of baby quilts were given to Jenny for the new moms at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Jamee gave a short presentation and demo on bojagi, a style of patchwork originating in Korea. The joining method creates finished seams for a two-sided single layer patchwork piece.
The Guild Bee has been busy! They made scrappy bear paw blocks for Jaimie and MQG blocks for Terry. Sandy and Jenny handed packets out.
This month's Improv QAL block was slice and insert. The July block is freehand triangles, and the August block is square in a square. See groupworks for inspiration!
Once again we had a lovely parade of makes for Show and Tell. Special shoutout to Michelle - she is moving soon (we are all so sad to see her go!!!) and trying to power through her WIPS and UFOs before she has to pack. Go Michelle go!!!
