January Meeting Recap

Our January meeting/party was a blast! We had so much fun playing Quilt Bingo (three gift certificates were donated by Jan of Pennington Quilt Works, plus she has been hosting us for three years - thank you, Jan!). We also had our epic Secret Quilter Gift Exchange with a whopping 20 participants! Remember, members have access to our monthly newsletter, which I send out before the next meeting. The newsletter contains news, reminders, events, shout outs, meeting agendas, pictures, and anything else that might come up. Look for the February newsletter in a couple of weeks!

• Cloud 9 Fabrics – Michelle Engel Bencsko – Lecture and Organic Fabric/Quilt Trunk Show - Saturday, January 31 from 1-2 pm at Pennington Quilt Works - free for members, $5 guests - Members can RSVP here

• Quilts are due at the Feb. meeting for the NJ QuiltFest XI exhibit.
• Please fill out our End of Year Survey and help us plan for 2015!
• Jessica Levitt's fabric challenge has started and continues on through March 31! Those who signed up received fabric at this meeting. Use the hashtag #cascadefabricchallenge on Instagram to share your progress/finishes (also tag #cjmqg so the whole guild can see!).

2015 Quilt-A-Long - we shared our first blocks! Please, join in at anytime!

 

Bee - our bee members received two blocks (one to be finished for Feb., one for March).

Secret Quilter Gift Exchange - here are some pictures from the event. Participants filled out a survey about their preferences for gifts. There were mini quilts, table runners, scarves, pouches, purses, and more! Thanks, everyone, for making this our 3rd successful holiday swap!
