It's February in New Jersey, a great time to get snuggled in your quilts and read about our last meeting!
As we came in, we were greeted by personalized cookies to celebrate our Spark Joy event. AMAZING!
We had announcements about some upcoming events, including two workshops that members can sign up for right now, see the News section of Bigtent for details. Reminder that going forward members are responsible for their own name tags - you can keep using the printed ones, or you can make a quilty one. If you forget yours, we will have HELLO MY NAME IS stickers handy.
QuiltCon is next week! Several of our members will be attending, and we hope everyone gets in the fun on Instagram and other social media.
The Quilt and Sewing Fest of New Jersey will be held in Somerset March 2-5, and will feature a special exhibit of work by member Jess Skultety, if you would like to attend!
The members who already made their name tags shared them, and I apologize for not gathering them together for a photo. Next month!
Our members shared their recent work from the MQG's Block of the Month:
The Guild Bee made asterisk blocks for Lee:
The NewBee made these colorful blocks for Mada:
This month we had a Valentine Challenge! Make any size quilt you want, with a valentine theme:
Here are some of the things our members brought in for Show and Tell:
After Show and Tell, we had our break, and opened up our Spark Joy event. Members had tables set up with items they no longer wanted that were sorted for free, for sale, or for silent auction. We hope that everyone who participated had fun!
