December 2019 meeting recap

Continued apologizing for the lateness of this post! But here, finally, is what happened in our December meeting..

First up, our Holiday Swap! The rules were that you had to make a home decor type item with a holiday theme. It was a "yankee swap" style game - so there was quite a bit of stealing and shuffling around. I did miss some items in my photos because of that - sorry! But here's most of it:

05 swap06 swap
07 swap08 swap

And then, because December is what it is, we had tons and tons of people participating in Show and Tell! omg look at all of this

November 2019 meeting recap

Apologies for the lateness of this recap; November and December were extremely busy and the posts were a casualty!

First up, the last block for the Improv QAL. The block could be whatever you wanted it to be, but it had to be done with scissors and no rotary cutters.

The Guild Bee made blocks for Janneke. Each person got a number to incorporate into their block.

Lori suggested having a raffle at our meetings. Each month a volunteer will bring in a small handmade gift and we'll draw a name to win it! This month was the beginning:

October Meeting Recap

Welcome to fall!

Members who are participating in the RWJUHH quilt show: please bring your quilts and signed waivers (check your email) to the meeting on Wednesday, November 13.

First we discussed several of our upcoming workshops and possibilities for next year's Quilt-a-long.

This month's Improv Quilt-a-long theme was words! (I think Janneke's was supposed to be "MOM" but I didn't take another picture after she flipped it, apologies!)

We recently had a stripe fabric swap, and followed it up with a Stripe Quilt Challenge.

In September, Timna Tarr came to teach her map quilt class. Here are quilts from some of the students:
