Pantone Color of the Year Challenge

We had such a great response to our Pantone Color of the Year Challenge that we wanted to give it its own blog post! Pantone's Color of the Year for 2017 is Greenery.

First, we wanted to thank Pennington Quilt Works for their generous donation of a bolt of Kona Lime for the guild to use in the challenge. Each member who signed up received a piece of the fabric to use to make an 18x18" modern quilt. There weren't any specific directions except to have fun playing, so the quilts our members came back with showcase styles across a broad spectrum.

Second, we are proud to announce the quilts will be shown in a special exhibition at the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza in Oaks, PA September 14-17, 2017! They're going to look so great hanging together! (Members: you'll get a message soon about the information needed from you for the display.) Big thanks to Janet for making this all happen!

Third.. the pictures! There were a TON of quilts - it looks like we'll have about thirty for the show - so we tried to break them into little groups so you can see better.
